Sustainability and ethics

SHOP

Our goods are good

We are a new and super small independent brand but we want to start as we mean to go on. So, we have made certain choices when it comes to materials, printers and manufacturers we use. We have made choices where we put the planet before profit and choose the most sustainable path possible. Have a look below at how we are doing this:

OUR CLOTHING - made ethically

We work with a UK-based printer and manufacturer who are members of / or certified by independent organisations such as the Fair Wear FoundationFSCOeko-Tex, WRAP & GOTS. These certifications mean that the garments are created under ethical working conditions, where workers at all levels of manufacture or 'in the supply chain' from plantation to warehouse are paid fairly and looked after well.

100% ORGANIC | recycled cotton | recycled polyester

T-shirts:

Our T-shirts are made from 100% Organic cotton - a natural, GMO-free fibre that uses less water than standard cotton. In addition, its production does not involve the use of chemicals (no fertilisers or pesticides) and encourages rotation of crops to keep soil healthier, more fertile and maintain humidity. Waste from the cotton ginning process is also recycled for the animal feed industry.

Our totes are made from 80% recycled cotton, 20% recycled polyester.

UK PRINTERS

We have chosen a U.K printer to print our products - reducing the miles the products need to travel to get to you, therefore reducing our Carbon Footprint.

The printers we use offset their Carbon Footprint by funding the planting of trees in the North West of England.

WATER-BASED INKS

Our Tees are printed using water-based inks (CPSIA compliant and Oeko-Tex™ certified). As a compound, water-based ink is much more gentle on the environment than plastisol ink. It doesn’t contain any of the toxic chemicals of its plastisol counterparts (no PVC, no phthalates). Instead, it’s comprised of naturally occurring substances.

Small batches

We like to operate our shop by doing limited merch drops - this means we only manufacture a small number of garments for each drop which massively reduces our waste and there is never any unused stock.

PACKAGING

The packaging used to ship all orders is 100% plastic-free with the exception of our art prints which have a cellophane film to protect the artwork (we are currently looking at alternatives).
