Looking for something fun to do May bank holiday? How about checking out Peckham’s very own music festival? Jam on Rye is taking place on Bank Holiday Monday 27th May in Peckham Rye park and is promising to be an unmissable celebration of food, music and local talent.
Jam on the Rye is taking place in Peckham Rye park this May bank holiday
They have just released the line up - headlining is queen of RnB Kelis. Performing alongside Kelis will be musical legend Jazzie B and soul legend Omar who having collaborated with the likes of Stevie Wonder and Carleen Anderson. Our local Peckham radio station Balamii will also be hosting a stage showcasing local talent.
As well as the great music, Jam on Rye will be serving up some great food by local Peckham food traders like Deserted Cactus, Garden Of Eden and Bokit'La as well as award winning street food traders like Bleeker Burger, Baba G's, Club Mexicana and BBQ Dreamz.
This Peckham festival is family friendly - offering a programme of activities for kids to enjoy and a playground situated inside a whole dome, with activities such as the messy 'slime factory' to keep the young ones entertained.
Jam on Rye organisers will also be looking after the environment with 100% of food traders using compostable containers and committed to cutting out single use plastics as well as reusable cups and recycling.
If this sounds like the perfect way to spend a (hopefully sunny) May bank holiday then head to Jam on Rye site to get your tickets (early release tickets are still available - £30).
