To celebrate Black History Month - Back Room Cinema at The Montpelier pub in Peckham will be screening Babylon, a 1980 London cult classic.
Set in the packed dance halls, grubby tube carriages and kinetic streets of South London, Babylon follows Deptford car mechanic and dub DJ Blue as he goes on the run from police. A captivating portrait of the cultural tensions inflamed by Thatcher's reign.
Tickets are £5 and can be bought on the door (cash only). Tickets include popcorn!
Back Room Cinema is a twice-monthly film club dedicated to screening the best independent cinema in the heart of Peckham. It is an intimate, 30-capacity cinema hidden away in The Montpelier Pub.
