Live Music: Nu-folk singer launches her new single at The Ivy House

Half English, Half Irish Nu-folk singer Lewis Barfoot launches her new single HECATE on Sunday 28th October at the Grade II Ivy House pub in Nunhead. Joined by her band and guest musicians from the Folk ensemble Solasta. Featuring the debut screening of the new music video Hecate

Best known for the ethereal poise of her crystal singing voice” Folk and Honey.

Described by Irish Radio International as a maker of “Delicious music: A massage of the heart, a whisper to the soul”. Lewis is frequently compared to the likes of Lisa Hannigan, Ane Brun, and Joni Mitchell. Her first recording, the independently released EP “Catch Me” as heard on Johnny Coppin’s BBC Radio 2 Folk show contains 5 songs from her Vocal Voyages collection inspired by a year of world travel.

She sang with the Gaelic ensemble Rún for 3 years before going solo. And is currently recording her debut album “Folkalism".
