Tonkotsu Peckham: ramen restaurant JUST opened

Tonkotsu Peckham is opening within Market Peckham

JUST OPENED

Ramen restaurant chain Tonkotsu has opened a new restaurant in Peckham. The 50 cover restaurant has opened within the newly built Market Peckham - a co-working space, alongside Forza Wine, a new rooftop bar from the team behind Forza Win.

Tonkotsu Peckham which features an open kitchen and bar, and wall murals designed and hand-painted by freelance artist and muralist, Mr Christa serves a menu which includes their signature homemade noodle ramens, gyozas and Japanese appetisers, alongside a selection of craft beer, sake and cocktails.

Choose from their selection of ramen dishes like pork broth topped with roast pork belly, chicken broth topped with king prawns, popcorn prawns and crab meat or shiitake mushroom broth topped with shimeji mushrooms and black kale. Of course, all Tonkotsu ramen dishes are served with their homemade noodles. Their fresh noodles are made using mid-century noodle-making machines imported from Japan and are cooked for exactly 32 seconds – which apparently is the perfect time for a medium bite.

Stephen Evans, Tonkotsu’s Managing Director, said today, “Peckham, with its rich cultural history and diverse mix of creatives and makers is a perfect place for our real ramen. We are thrilled to be part of the Market workspace, in the heart of Peckham.”

Guests are also invited to enjoy £5 ramen and hiyashi from Saturday 21st September until Sunday 6th October.

1st floor at 133 Rye Lane, Peckham, in the new Market Building
