Peckham new bars 2019: find out how many new bars have just opened
Four! Yep, four. There’s been a quick succession of new bars opening in Peckham in 2019. With the spotlight on Peckham right now (11th coolest neighbourhood in the world and all that jazz) it seems our bar scene is expanding to accommodate the rising interest in our trendy corner of London. Read on to get the rundown of the best Peckham bars that have just opened from jazz lounges, rooftops gardens and stylish cocktail dens.
4 new Peckham bars:
1. Zapoi Peckham
Zapoi bar opened earlier in the Summer and it was an instant hit. You may struggle to find the shabby-chic bar as it’s yet to get a sign, website or social channels - but this just adds to its elusive charm. Zapoi brings a stylish vintage-style bar to Peckham high street. The mismatched floral seating, distressed walls, vintage furniture and botanical decor really epitomizes the shabby chic vibe. It’s a spacious bar spanning across two floors, downstairs you will find the bar serving craft cocktails and upstairs a chill-out lounge area with sofas and comfy seating. With the focus being on craft cocktails, there is no menu. Either you ask the mixologist for your favourite tipple or tell them what flavours or spirits you like and watch your cocktail get muddled together by an expert hand. They serve quality cocktails at a reasonable price of around £6, which you can enjoy as you lay on your very own chaise lounge.
(If you’re trying to find Zapoi - it’s near John the Unicorn, opposite Morley’s chicken shop)
138, Rye Lane, Peckham, SE15
2. Forza Wine
Forza Wine is the latest offering from Peckham’s contemporary and hugely popular Italian food restaurant Forza Win. The new wine bar is situated on the fifth floor of Market Peckham - the newly renovated space on Rye Lane. Take the lift at the entrance of Market all the way up to the rooftop where you will be greeted with amazing 360 views across London and a stylish-design led bar.
There is a selection of wine, cocktails (try the frozen Negroni) and beers and Italian bar snacks along the lines of sausage and fontina toasties and grilled sardines.
This stylish new bar is the perfect setting if you’re looking to impress a date!

3. CLF Art Lounge
Head to CLF Art Lounge conveniently located roughly 10 metres opposite Peckham Rye station for an evening of live music and stylish cocktails. CLF Art Lounge is the latest venue from The Chronic Love Foundation (CLF) - joining CLF Art Cafe and Rye Wax.
The venue is split over two levels, the first floor has all the feels of a trendy London jazz bar with low lighting, atmospheric dark walls and plush furniture. Situated on the second floor is a stunning Hennessy roof garden. The rooftop garden will be open all year round serving a selection of cognacs as well as fine champagnes, wines and spirits.
The bar hosts a variety of live acts, most frequently jazz, soul, blues - ideal for a night listening to some amazing bands whilst tucking into Caribbean inspired small plates and nibbles. Settle in here for decadent cocktails and the lilting sounds of live music.

4. Peckham Cellars
Okay, Peckham Cellars has not actually opened yet... but it’s set to open its doors mid-November. Peckham Cellars will be, according to the 3 founders and long-time South London residents, the new neighbourhood ‘go-to’ spot. You will find Peckham Cellars down Queen’s Road Peckham which has taken over the space from casual dining restaurant Meet District, which after 3 years of trading closed in August. The new Peckham bar and restaurant will have an open kitchen and kitchen counter-seating, as well as a restaurant and bar area with the aim to create a relaxed dining space. They will serve a small changing menu which will focus on high-quality produce and seasonality.
