Naïfs: Peckham's new gourmet vegan restaurant

A new bistro-style vegan and vegetarian restaurant Naïfs is set to open in Peckham this October. Founded by former Vanilla Black (posh veggie restaurant) chef Tom Heale, his partner Anne Stokes and two brothers Max and Finn.

You will find this new Peckham restaurant on Goldsmiths Road, taking the place of Aside which closed its doors earlier this year. Naïfs is planning to disrupt South London’s foodie scene by bringing fine-dining vegan and veggie cuisine to Peckham!

Naïfs, which is an old French word which means naive, will focus on simple vegan and veggie dishes with elements of fine dining. A few signature dishes on the Autumn menu include koji roasted celeriac, with tomato salsa, remoulade and leaves, plum pavlova with cream and honey meringue and an almond and barley ice cream sandwich, served with fennel, caramel and blackberries. Sounds bloody amazing!

There will be an emphasis on seasonal produce and sustainability working with select suppliers to ensure high-quality, locally-produced dishes and a carefully curated drinks menu - with natural and biodynamic wines hailing from Les Caves de Pyrene, Modal Wine and Gergovie. There will also be a selection of ales and lagers from local Peckham brewer, Brick Brewery. It’s great to see local businesses support one another!
