Let's celebrate WOMEN

International Women’s Day takes place every year on March 8th, where people all around the world celebrate women. A day to not only celebrate the achievements of women around the globe but also a time to recognise the many gender inequalities that still exist today. International Women’s Day 2020 is celebrated in a variety of ways in different countries - from women’s rights protests, gifts or parties. Whatever you do, make sure you take the time to educate yourself about women’s issues around the world and stand in solidarity with women whose voices are more marginalised than your own.

We have rounded up a variety of things that South East London is doing to celebrate or support women - from events, charities to feminist libraries.
