So, things to do in Peckham when it’s sunny…grab a cocktail!

(Oh, and what makes a sunny day even better? DOGS. Yep, all of the below are dog friendly places in Peckham!)

You might not know, but the cute cocktail bar Two Hundred Rye Lane slap bang in the middle of Peckham’s Rye Lane has a gorgeous garden where you can enjoy coffee, cocktails and food! They serve brunch 7 days a week - as well as a bottomless brunch (£25). This Peckham bar makes some of the best cocktails around, let’s just say salted coconut espresso martini… and Mon-Thurs 5-8pm you can try them for £5 during Happy Hour. The Bussey Building team have transformed the rooftop into a colourful tropical oasis, with bright pink patterned rugs, beautiful foliage, palms, wicker chairs and of course neon signs making it one of the most summery (and best) rooftop bars in London.
The tropical theme continues with the drinks menu with summer classics like Aperol Spritz (£9), Pimms and lemonade (£8) and some of their own creations like ‘A Taste Of Summer’ (£10) and ‘What a Melon’ (£10).

The Rye Pub

One of our favourite pubs in Peckham for a Sunday Roast (they have great veggie options too) has a huge beer garden out the back which has the sun all day long. The Rye Pub has a beautiful conservatory-style dining area which leads on to the large garden which has a table tennis table, lots of benches and in the summer they usually have a BBQ on the go. This pub is obviously super dog friendly - so you can bring your doggy pal along with you for a pint (they usually have doggy treats at the bar). Their Sunday roasts are hugely popular choose from roast sirloin of beef (£17), Roast pork belly, Bramley apple sauce (£15), Vegetarian wellington, veggie gravy (£14).

Franks cafe

Frank rooftop bar - Peckham

We couldn’t not include Frank’s Cafe in a Peckham rooftop bar round up - so here it is! Frank’s Cafe, now in it’s 11th year is the flagship architectural commission of Bold Tendencies is one of Peckham’s most popular bars and is probably London’s best rooftop bar! Every Summer it draws in huge crowd for its spectacular views across the capital, Campari-based cocktails but also its art installations. And, obviously you must get the obligatory pink staircase Insta pic on your way up…

Social - Copeland bar

Nestled behind the Bussey Building in Copeland Park you will find the Social bar - the bar occupies the same space that The Nines Bar once did. Social has a huge seating area inside and outside meaning you can catch a few rays on the large patio area whilst sipping on a cocktail or enjoying a snack from their bar and grill style café. As well as the bar area downstairs you will also find a lounge area concealed away from the main bar on a mezzanine above. Take advantage of their 2-4-1 on all cocktails during Happy Hour on Wednesdays & Thursdays (6pm-7pm).

Rye Society

The Bussey Beer garden now called the Rye Society

The Bussey Beer Garden has recently relaunched as the Rye Society serving up great range of craft beers. You will find the Rye society on roof D of the Bussey building just off Peckham high street. Not to be confused with the Bussey Rooftop bar which is on the other roof of the same building. However, just like Bussey Rooftop Bar, Rye Society boasts amazing views of South London and the hustle and bustle of Copeland Park. The Rye Society serves a range of craft beer, with an emphasis on quality and flavour.
